Be right back!

The brand to be found

Happy Sunday people!

Just currently in my pj's watching Educating the East End before I go to night shift 4 of 4, so thought I'd write a post for you.

As you know I work full time in a psychiatric hospital, and I love it but it can't half be challenging! The long hours, the pressure of a fast paced environment and challenging patience is hard, but also seeing a patient get well and knowing I've contributed to that is a great feeling, especially as mental health is also a subject close to my heart, I'll tell you about it one day, but not today.

Today I want to tell you more about my other job at Temple Spa. You may have remembered me mentioning I am a Spa to Go Lifestyle Consultant. Temple Spa is a luxury aromatherapy skincare brand I came across almost a year ago when my friend had a class (you may know them as parties, but Temple Spa do classes, sophisticated stuff you see) and I fell in love. A couple months later I had a class of my own which was led by my now boss who asked me to join shortly after and the rest is history!

You can find Temple Spa in Harrods and Selfridges, Emirates flights, the Orient Express, posh hotels, and in spas across the country, the closest to me being Wynyard Hall near Sedgefield. But if these places aren't accessible to you, that's where Spa to Go comes in, we come to your house and pamper you and some friends to the tune of a tailor made facial, top tips and freebies, and you don't even have to leave the house, bliss!

From the ages of 19 I suffered with chin acne and nothing worked, after 12 weeks using Temple Spa this is what happened

And it only got better from there, I can not fave about Temple Spa enough and I wouldn't be able to if I didn't have this genuine love for the products. Not only do they work and therefore sell themselves, but Temple Spa offers one of the best commission schemes out there and you literally get out what you put in, there's a current promotion with consultants for the opportunity to earn free products, trips out to theme parks and restaurants, iPads, kindles, Michael Korrs and Tiffany products, spa days, an all inclusive trip to the St Regis at Mairitius, and a brand new top of the range car, just for working with Temple Spa, it's amazing!

I'll definitely be writing more posts about Temple Spa, I want to tell you about my skincare routine, favourite products, and I'll also be letting you know about new releases and special offers!

Apologies for the ridiculously 'promotion' type post, it wasn't the intention, I just enjoy telling people about my other love!

I'm off to work now, hope you've all had a lovely weekend :)

Wide awake club

Hi all!

It's 2.20am, I'm on night shifts. I'm a bit gutted as I had a great post scheduled but in my confusion accidentally deleted it #newbloggerfail
I've been recommended to get on bloglovin' so that's on my to do list early next week as it's web marshalled here at work and I'll only have time to sleep and grab a bowl of porridge between shifts. Incidentally, how do you like your porridge? Everyone likes theirs just so sont they, I've had endless debates with people over this, but I believe we all have an inner goldilocks! I love mine cooked with water, chia seeds, a generous teaspoon of peanut butter plopped on top, and some blueberries and strawberries. Actual heaven. You're welcome in advance for sharing that random fact!

I've just had a chicken salad to keep me going and now I'm googling Bleach London Balayage kits, have you tried this? I'm dying to get it then stick on one of their fab colours, thoughts? I've also just tried Free From Frizz 6 week blowout kit and I've never been so glad to be able to wash my hair!

Anyhoo, just thought I'd give you a snippet of me currently, hope you're all sleeping well!

I'm off to read Harry Potter and the latest copy of Glamour magazine, top grafter I know!

 Sweet dreams x

Now that we've broken the ice

Now I’ve broken the ice I want to tell you a little more about me. I have no idea what this blog is really going to be about, so I'm hoping that by writing this post I can set the scene a little bit better.

I studied Sociology and Psychology at uni, and since then my life consists of working crazy hours. I am also a Lifestyle Consultant and Temple Spa and I love it and their products, it’s amazing and the only skincare brand I use now, I’ve never looked back, expect lots of reviews on their amazing products, special offers, and maybe the odd giveaway!
I’m not very good at makeup but I do love it, how did I ever get by without Real Techniques brushes?! I’ve dabbled in nail art and you’ll never see me with naked nails. I like clothes too and I've recently lost almost 50lbs, although I’m not fashionable in the slightest I love shopping for my new body!
Following that, I’m on a major health and fitness kick! Last year I started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, completed it, and have since worked out regularly every week, including when I went on holiday and I came back 4lbs lighter! I completed Insanity this year, followed by T25 and C25K, I'm currently doing New Rules of Lifting for Women and I've well and truly got the lifting bug!
I LOVE cooking (and eating), I make all of my meals, expect to see lots of recipes and food pics (yeah, I’m one of them folk), as well as pics of my awesome cakes as I also have a mega sweet tooth and got taught to bake by my Dad! My Mam has her own shop that sells bridal wear, soft furnishings and custom made curtains, she is a very talented lady.
I am the youngest of 3 children. I have an elder brother and sister who are both new parents to my nephews Isaac (18 months), Ezra (3 months) and Leila who isn't even 3 weeks old yet.
I have no children, I opted for a guinea pig, much less maintenance! His name is homer and he is 7 (that’s ancient in guinea pig years). We lost his brother Clark almost two years ago and we miss him lots. We also have a part time cat, we don't know who she belongs to but she visits most days and has frequent sleepovers, we call her shit bag, she loves it.

I have a huge needle phobia but I'm also a huge hypocrite and have 9 tattoos and 11 piercings, some may say I’m obsessed.
I love music and going to gigs, I’ve seen Kings of Leon 7 times. As much as I like Sex on Fire, I have a massive grudge against that song for making them mainstream! Aha Shake Heartbreak is my favourite album on this whole planet.
I like reading and films too, I’m sure I’ll be telling you about whatever book is by my bed when I finish it, or what I’ve just seen at the cinema. I’m also a mega Hunger Games and Harry Potter fan #sorrynotsorry

Now what?

So what shall I write about? What do you want to know? Do you even want to know?
I expect I'll be writing a lot of posts at work on night shifts when it's quiet, so forgiveness is requested in advance for my madness, however I'm justifying it by saying it's my niche!

Hello my name is...

Hello!

Welcome to my new blog. I’ve blogged before while I was at uni and I wasn’t as dedicated as I’d have liked, I’ve been toying with the idea of blogging again (re-blogging, if you will) for a while now, and on night shifts at work I thought I’d start writing up draft posts to keep me awake!

My name is Michaela, I’m 26, I live in Hartlepool with my lovely man friend (Sex and the City fan here!), and I work in a psychiatric hospital as a healthcare assistant, and on the side I am a Lifestyle Consultant with Temple spa.

This isn’t going to be a typical ‘beauty blog’...although I’ll probably write about a few beauty bits on the way, I want it to be a ‘life’ blog, if that’s even a thing?! I basically just want to write about anything that tickles my fancy and hope that you’ll find me interesting enough to follow while I ramble.
